WHAT TO DO WITH HARVETZ NOW.

So I replied that writer above saying,

Leonard, you've made some good points there man.

Please don't worry about those talking about where Newcastle is[as quite a number of people replied him by mocking Isak, citing the unimpressive position of Newcastle on the log as their evidence]. Infact their question on Newcastle helps to emphasise the import of the players you gave huge credit to. It therefore means if Isak had those players behind him, with such a coach, he would do much more.

Isak is the man! What a player! You can see he has the typical calm and gentle Arsenal player temperament, plus he plays the striking role in exactly the perfect Arsenal or Arteta way; another "plus," is that he had been once a teammate of cluɓ captain, Odegaard, where they combined beautifully in Socieded to do big things. To be frank, Isak is an upgrade on Gabriel Jesus! I don't just know how Arteta didn't sign him from Sociedad.

@arsenal4life like I said, let's do some Havertz.

Now to Havertz. Well firstly, I don't see him as an average player. He is scoring goals as the striker and important goals too. The problem this season is the coach!

You started the season playing Havertz in midfield, not bad because Harvetz looks it from afar. But what is terribly bad was that you persisted with Harvetz in midfield even when it was clear even to a basketball follower, just visiting football, that it wasn't working. He belatedly switched Havertz to a striking role after substantial damage had been done. Even so against Aston Villa and Bayern, which were two consecutive matches, he mysteriously reverted to the abandoned scheme of Harvetz in midfield...ofcourse, it was bad news in both matches.

By the way, you can risk Havertz to play a role Arsenal were still healing from in two crucial games against Villa and Bayern, so why couldn't you risk playing Partey against Villa? Surely if he isn't so fit he won't be on the bench like Timber.

Only thing Havertz lacks in playing in the midfield is physicality and initial lack of pace. If he runs a longer distance, his speed will come to the fore, that is why a striking role is best suited for him now. Plus the striking role doesn't have as much physical battles.

Arteta has his work cut out this summer, with the striking department larger than he envisaged.
Now Havertz is front runner and there are two others(Jesus,Nketiah). Yet we see that Odegaard often leads the press through the middle, infact as he does this you regularly see him gesturing to Havertz(especially him) and others around to come along.

What I have written before should make you know why Odegaard leads the press. Harvetz is not quick in short distances, but Isak doesn't have that weakness and Isak bangs in goals as well as Harvetz even better. In physicality too Isak shows more strength than Havertz, plus he's about as tall as Harvetz and good in the air.

It will be a lot of thinking for Arteta this summer because it revolves around his beloved Havertz.

He replied

I admire his reply a lot especially with the important statistic he rolled out–

From his write-up see this–

Saka 20 goals and 14 assists over 44 games ; Havertz 13 goals and 6 assists in over 45 games;
Trossard 16 goals and 2 assists in less than 25 games. Very revealing init?

So to this note I replied something like this– let's hang out somewhere with some soft drinks and cookies.🙂

You are equally as objective about things man. Indeed the goal haul you just predicted for Isak is not mere wishful thinking, that's exactly how lethal that combination will be. Isak will almost be tired of scoring goals.

Fantastic analytics you've put up on the goals by most of the forward line. Ok let's adjust it a bit and say Trossard has started a few matches lately and Havertz started a few as a midfielder.

But please that doesn't diminish your point! We can't keep giving the bulk of the scoring duties to a Saka, a player who is blessed with a special resilient body if not by now he should have been out with a long term injury due to Arteta overusing him.

Infact I used to have a stat that showed how that Trossard is even the most efficient striker in that team, but he is often on the bench.

With all due respect to Havertz and his heroics as a front man, I vote for a more efficient striker going forward. Great options you've given there. Isak my number one choice.

I'm sure it's gonna be difficult for Arteta to decide, considering they just paid some good money to get Harvetz.

However, to be counted among the very elite clubs in the world you have to be ruthless at times. An Aubameyang was banging in goals all over the place for Barcelona, but not long after they signed him, they heard a certain Lewandowski of Bayern, was available and they signed Lewa too. Aubameyang had to leave immediately. That's a club, being ruthless!

Again, if an Aubameyang and Guendouzi with their world class qualities were offloaded from Arsenal due to behavioural flaws, what's even wrong benching a player who is frankly not lethal enough as a striker.

Well, we wait and see.

BTW @inibless well that's why I said I didn't see Liverpool as a problem for that first position.

Cheers
