"SHOULD I FIGHT FOR PEACE"?

"Yes I must fight for peace".

And every good Nigerian must fight for perfect and undiluted peace all the time .
By definition, peace could be defined as complete absence of violence,war or trouble.In other way we can term peace to be a situation of complete rest of mind happiness and comfort. My believe is that each and every Nigerian needs complete rest of mind, happiness and comfort while we are all praying against violence, war trouble, bombing and kidnapping. Thus we all need to fight for peace. It is an obligation as a good citizen of this country.

Considering the merit of peace, it is a tool for economic development and transformation. If peace is in a nation like it was in Nigeria before now when every aspect of our economy was excellent. The likes of education, infrastructure, gross domestic product, strength of Naira and dollar and government policies. The inability of every individual and our government at local,state and federal levels to stand firm against injustice,corruption,greediness and self centeredness and the likes of others were the major catalyst that paved way for deterioration of peace in Nigeria and that is why we are here today

For instance, before 2015, every citizen was collecting his or her salary as at when due but today,more than 50 percent of public servants at all levels did not get their salaries regularly and accurately. The major reason for this is that the present state of the economy is "bad" as a result of the lack of peace. Before now,the equivalent of Naira to Dollar is 1to1but today,1dollar is equal to #495 or #500. What a chronic mess have we found ourselves in? This is mainly caused by the absence of peace in the North as a result of Boko Haram operations, reckless activities of Niger- Delta youths that has resulted in bombing billions of dollar worth of oil and gas facilities as well as the continuous killing by the herdsmen across the country. Also, kidnapping activities are going on at the nook and cranny of this country. They are holding people hostage for some amount of ransom or money.

I keep asking myself, why should a good Nigerian intend to get rich at the expense of other fellow Nigerians? The answer is just that some Nigerians are not peaceful in nature and do not give chance to peace to exist in the nation. Also, why should public officers and political leaders who we voted into power embezzle and loot or money? The answer is also still the same. They are not peaceful and not ready to fight for peace.

As for me, I am peaceful and will keep fighting for peace to benefit our nation, other citizens and myself. I advise everyone one to keep fighting for peace and indulge in peaceful activities and audiences and also make this nation one of the best.
