If only giving up was an option.
Hello, everyone.
I welcome you to my blog. Indeed, life is no bed of roses; it is no smooth sail, as there are always storms to deal with. Sometimes you feel like you are drowning in this storm and might not make it out alive, but somehow you just keep the hope alive and keep trying to survive the storm. One thing we all need to understand is that as human beings, and as long as you are alive, life will keep testing you, but your ability to overcome these tests that life throws at you is what determines how much you grow, both in wisdom, finances, and in all ramifications of your life.
At some point in our lives we have all had to deal with challenges, challenges that almost broke us, but somehow we managed to come out of it fighting. Like I said, life will keep testing you, but sometimes it is overwhelming, and if you are not strong enough, you tend to break down both physically and mentally. Sometimes you can be strong enough, but you need the right circle to scale through, the right mindset; how to get over a difficult time varies from one individual to another, but every individual must do what works for them. As long as it helps them overcome the challenge, then it is good; everyone must not try to overcome a challenge the same way.
For me, during hard times, I have few things that keep me going, the first of which is hope. I always have that hope that tomorrow holds better, and I cannot keep facing this challenge until forever. The fact that we have 365 days means there will be good and bad days. 365 days is a long time to be unlucky; one day in 365 days is your lucky, but you might not experience it if you give up hope and stop trying. So during hard times I just have the thought that tomorrow holds better and might be my lucky day, and that way I find myself trying to survive the storm no matter how hard it gets.
Determination is another way one can survive hard times; if you are not determined, hard times will break you, but with determination about what you want to achieve, you will always come out strong.
Another way is surrounding yourself with positive energy and people who support you; nothing pulls one out of a hard time like having a good support system. When you have people who support you, even if it is with just words of encouragement, you will definitely find yourself wanting to keep fighting after you talk to them. Also for positive energy, during a hard time you only need people who will help you see that there is light at the far end of the tunnel and not people who will spew negativity and kill the little hope you have. There are people who are very negative and carry that energy everywhere they go as well as try to get people on their side.
The importance of a good support system can not be downplayed. It could be the difference between staying down and recovering from a major setback.
Some people who could not bounce back or overcome challenges lacked a good support system and hence the persistence of the trouble.
