Human life over animal life.
Hello, everyone.
Welcome to my blog and another wonderful edition of the Hive Learners' featured post. In the world we live in, everything follows a specific order; some things are always placed before some, and some people are also placed before some as well. It has been so since time immemorial; no one knows who made up this order, but we seem to follow this order. There are individuals who are animal lovers and hate to see animals get hurt and would never want to use animals as meat; instead, they opt to become vegetarians just so animals can live a good life, but trust me, there are also individuals who see every animal as meat and would only do things to harm them.
Both individuals above are humans but with different perspectives and see animals differently; we cannot all be the same or treat animals the same way. There are individuals who value human life over animal life; there are also individuals who would value their pet's life over that of a human stranger they do not know. We are all humans, but we see things differently, and the world already follows an order. The way some people see things follows this order, while how some people see things contradicts the order things follow.
I see in movies how people care for animals and treat them even better than they treat humans; there are individuals that have placed animal life over human life, which is very wrong and alters the order of things and how things work. It has always been human life over animal life; as much as we love animals and would want them to have a good life, it is very wrong to put an animal life before a human life. A single human life is worth more than you can ever imagine; the worth of human life is not debatable, as we all know the value.
In the order of importance, the important things or people come first, and then the rest follows. We cannot change how things work now; it will be like altering how the world works. Even if we manage to, then things will definitely feel strange for a while, but for the fact that humans are adaptors, we might learn to adapt, but it will sure be difficult. This order of things has placed human life before animal life, so the question is: Do I feel it is ethical for scientists to experiment using animals?
My answer would always be yes; if they don't use animals, what or who should they use? Our loved ones? How would they be sure the drugs are fit to enter the market? Hundreds of drugs are being produced and need to be tested. Now imagine a scenario where a decree is passed that instead of animals, every family must sacrifice one person so they can be used to test a drug; we all know how it feels to lose a loved one, then imagine such a decree that simply means losing loved ones and grieving the pain will overtime become habitual. We love and appreciate all that these animals do for the ecosystem, but when we have to choose between an animal or a human being who has to go, we all know what the answer would be.
