Having to deal with the proud.
Hello, everyone.
I welcome you to my blog. As humans, it is very much okay to have some pride, as that is the only way you will get people to give you the respect that you deserve because humans treat you how you place yourself; if you put yourself at their feet, then they will step on you, but the only time having pride becomes a problem is when you have too much of it, which is bad for human relations. A person so full of themselves is quite difficult to handle, and dealing with them can be very annoying. Those who have pride in excess are the type of people one should avoid associating with.
One thing about those who are so full of themselves is feeling like they are better and above every other person they come in contact with; it takes one with endurance and high tolerance to actually deal with them. When one is not tolerant enough, they find themselves fighting with proud people every now and then. Another characteristic of a proud person is that they do not take advice or correction from others. A proud person feels like they are self-sufficient and are good with whatever they have in mind, but it is not so; they always end up making mistakes and regretting them in the end. Like the bible said, pride goes before a fall; you will have the room and space to be so full of yourself until you come falling with speed of light.
A proud person cannot learn anything new because they feel they already know it all; sometimes deep within them they know they do not know it, but they cannot lower themselves to learn at all, most times because they feel they are better than whoever is passing the knowledge or just full of themselves to the point of not wanting to be taught anything new or feel their ego will be affected if they do but fail to understand that life does not operate that way. If you really want to learn something new, you must humble yourself and learn.
I have very low tolerance for proud people. It is okay to be proud, but don't let your achievements, whether big or small, make you feel like you are way better than others and no one is. In your class, everyone has to follow whatever you say, more like you want to control everyone. The proud hates when someone stands up to them as they like to be in charge and everyone follows their lead. My only way to deal with those so full of themselves is to avoid them, and when I say avoid them, I mean have nothing to do with them. If it is possible, I don't allow even greetings to bring us together, but sometimes school has a way of doing things.
I have a very proud female coursemate who feels she is above everybody, and I have been avoiding her until we were added to the same group for an assignment; we all almost failed because she only wanted us to go her way, which was wrong. There was only chaos in our group, continuous quarreling and yelling at each other until we managed to come up with something that only gave us a pass mark, and I could not wait to not have to see her close again. .
Pride shouldn't be overly, even though one should have pride in how far they've come and the likes, they shouldn't take it as a tool to oppress others or make others look less of a human than themselves.
There are things to be proud of no doubt but that does not make anyone better than the other. Thanks for dropping by sir.
Proud people find it hard to learn new things and I agree. I’m just imagining what you all would have done to her if you guys didn’t get the pass mark.
A guy was already threatening to beat her up lol 😂 but she would have been an enemy for life if we did not get the pass mark.
