Economic situation and how we manage to cope i don't even know.

Hello, everyone.

I welcome you to my blog. It is no new news that the entire world continues to experience inflation, and the economy of many countries like mine continues to go from bad to worse, squeezing life out of the people. Sometimes I ask myself how we got here; actually, years ago we were promised a better Nigeria, but funny how the Nigeria we had years ago is a hundred times better than what we have today. Sometimes I don't even want to reminisce about the good old days, the days where a thousand naira was enough to feed for a whole day, but today you struggle to make breakfast with that amount.

It is even difficult to adapt; you might adapt to buying goods and paying for services at the new price only to wake up one morning and realize the prices have gone even higher and you have to start struggling from scratch again. It hurts even more when you realize the price of these goods and services skyrocketed by a hundred percent but salaries and wages of the people remained the same, so how do they cope? A lot of people are just living life and tired of hoping that the country would eventually get any better.

This year alone, after the new government took over, has been from one rollercoaster of emotions to another. The new government only made life harder and things even more difficult. They spared nothing, the cost for goods skyrocketed, the charge for services rendered also did the same, and the new government affected everything negatively. I never thought a day would come where we would buy a liter of petrol for 1,100 naira, but we are buying at that rate with pain in our hearts.

The people are slowly running out of coping mechanisms, as with each passing day things only get tougher and tougher. When I first gained admission to school, we spent 100 naira to town, but today we spend 800 naira, and anything less than that means you are not ready. Sometimes when I look around and see the cost of things, I wish Adam and Eve just followed instructions and stayed away from the tree 😂 maybe we'd still be living in the garden and not experience all of this.

The increase in the cost of services rendered is even more mild compared to the increase in price of foodstuffs. The days where 10,000 naira could get one enough foodstuffs for weeks if not a month, but not so today, as even 30,000 naira cannot get you what 10,000 naira would back in the day, but we are coping and surviving. Some days I find myself hoping things would get better, and some days I don't see that ever happening.

Thanks for reading my post.

🤣🤣🤣leave Eve out of this oo
She didn’t do anything. Anyway, I really understand you. The mechanisms people are adapting to are very funny. You’d be surprised to see people have resorted to sleeping a lot just do they don’t get angry.

Is there any way you can scale the income you make here?

I have done some research in marketing pools on Facebook, using sock puppets accounts and so on, I did come across many from your area of the world, one that had a career, but most of course were just trying to get any low paid gig...

There should be possibilities using Hive and Bitcoin here, like setting up an agency where small business internationally can hire assistants like these directly, so that the workers can keep most of the earnings!
