Bullying: Denis My Boss.

Greetings Everyone.

Great Hivers, welcome to my blog and another wonderful edition of the hive learners featured post. Today i will be sharing the story about how I was bullied as a kid, I suffered bullying and I hate to remember that phase of my life where I cried all because of a guy like me.

Bullying is this week's case study and many tend to have suffered bullying while others did not suffer bullying, I am one of those who suffered from the hands of fellow students, I grew up in the northern part of my country and was very small in size, it was as if I would never grow tall or big but thanks to growth today the bully calls me "My Guy". My size back then was a very big disadvantage to me, everyone sees me like a baby and it hurts.

We just graduated from primary school and are now JSS 1 students, I met Dennis the big guy in my new school, Denis was very big in size he looked more like our uncle in class as the rest of us were still very small and no sign of beards but Dennis already had beards all over his face, even the prefects were a little bit scared when it comes to Dennis.

My parents cared about me a lot, despite the fact I am now a secondary school student I still carried food to school, little did my parents know I never tasted the food given to me because Dennis takes all and leave me with nothing, all I do is shed hot tears while he enjoys my meal 😩. It does not end at eating my food alone, Dennis will search my pocket and take anything of value he finds in them, after that he threatens to beat me if I dare to report him to the school authority.

I turned into an errand boy for Dennis, I copy notes for Dennis, if he gets thirsty I am the one he would send to get him water, I suffered a lot in the hands of Dennis and the school authority did not even notice what was going on. After suffering for two terms, I was able to open up to my mom about what I was facing in school, immediate actions were taken and my school was changed immediately.

Effects Of Bullying.

• Emotional Trauma: I felt less of myself and till date anytime I remember how Dennis made me feel I always wished I fought back and saved myself this awful feeling.

• Ridiculed: I was ridiculed by other students, I turned into a laughing stock, I suffered this for quite a long time and it caused me suicidal thoughts at a very tender age.

• Suicide: Many who suffer bullying ended up taking their own life, they felt like ending their life is the best thing to do, it will save them the mockery and the stress they have to face.
