RE: Freelensing - experimenting with photography gear (series of images).

These are interesting results you get through free-lensing. I have never tried that but may give it a go. Some of the pictures remind me a lot of my Lensbaby shots (a tilt-shift lens), very dreamy. I like them a lot.

It seems very human that once we reach or have seen too much perfection we are on the lookout for imperfect perfection. I can relate to that very much e.g. lens flares and sun-rays are magnificent (did a post not too long ago).

thank you very much for taking a look and for very kind words. Happy to find someone who is familiar with Lensbaby. For the Tilt-shift, many years i started with Lensababy Composer. its amazing and the results are always inspiring, but i wanted to find some optical selective focus effect similar to the Large Format photography and the freelensing corresponded to my willings very well. Its less swirly and more line oriented than circle oriented.
i will check your post with sun-rays !

Yeah, the bokeh the Lensbaby produces is very... bokeh-licious. One of their lenses, I forgot the name, produces a very linear in-focus field and outside of it (up & down or sideways or angled) it is blurred. I have to get it out and do some photos with it.
