Location - Sycamore Crossing
Sycamore Crossing
Overview:
Sycamore Crossing is a modest village in the northwest of Aaval, a few days' ride from Lavan, and south of the Red Forest.
It is primarily a farming village, but also is a common trade route for those folks and merchants who live and trade closer to the Mach'Lithe border to the West. While there are few large settlements west of Sycamore Crossing, there is always a stream of folks exploring the western ruins, trading with the various humanoid (orc, goblin, etc) tribes, and supporting the Aavalean military which has numerous forts and patrols along the border.
Quests:
Harvest Fangs:
- Strange happenings in Sycamore Crossing have been noticed, and when the Bandyhand Institute dispatched a scout to investigate they were informed that there seemed to be some kind of cult tied to a magical book operating out of the village. The Bandyhand Institute's scout was lost after the pertinent message had been delivered, and is presumed captured or dead. The players are sent to investigate the village and see if they can unearth more details about the strange book, the cult, and deal with whatever is happening in the village.

Notes:
The quest 'Harvest Fangs' associated with this location, as well as the name for the town ('Sycamore Crossing'), is pulled from 'Tome of Beasts III Lairs' by Kobold Press, and was edited to fit my campaign world. You can read more about that quest and it's result in a prior blog post, The Events of Sycamore Crossing.

I had to chuckle at the idea of the priest of the Temple of Life being dead. I guess that's just my twisted sense of humour 😁
Perhaps he needs one of those Very Late Healers. Necromancers, I think they call them....
To be fair, he became collateral damage when he decided to feed people to a plant as a means of securing better harvests for the village. He had it coming.
Tossing a dead badger at him was maybe a step too far... and he probably didn't need to get FED to the plant that he was sacrificing people to (along with the sheriff, druid, and deputy) but hey... players will be players. LOL
lmao ! Sounds like he deserved it.😆
