Well, it's been a day. Most of my day has been lost to an issue at work figuring out why certain tracking entries were missed in an update script, and listening to music. It's been a good, if slightly annoying day.
I've been keeping an eye on btc as it's flirting with 100k USD, but just staying shy of that line. I half expect a sudden surge that blows a few thousand past 100k but we'll see how it goes.
I also found and set up an old account to run an automated Market Maker trade over on https://hive.trading/, which was surprisingly easy to set up. I had a spare ~20 or so liquid hive and a few random HBD to seed my test account with, and while I'm not sure if this will actually turn profitable or not... we'll just let it cook and see what happens. Worst case I loose a few bucks, no biggy.
We're supposed to get about 20cm of snow in the next 48 hours, which lines up just perfectly to have a high chance of screwing up the day for our baby's baptism... but the weather in Sask is notoriously flighty, it might decide not to snow at us at all and things will go through as planned. We'll see.
I received one of the Kickstarter rewards I've been waiting for the other day, so I'm excited to sit down and play some Sundered Isles in the next few days. It's an expansion for the Ironsworn/Starforged system, and I'm excited to add sailing ships and pirate shenanigans to my games. Not that I couldn't have done that before. This just makes everything easier.
I've been reading Hyperion by Dan Simmons lately, it's good so far. A highly recommended scifi book and I definitely see why. I'm about half-way through, and I'm definitely invested in finding out what's going on and seeing the ending unfold.
My furnace decided to be a problem, so we had a fellow out to look at it a week ago and then again yesterday. We were without heat for about half a day, but he was able to replace the part that needed replacing and now we've got things toasty warm in here again. I'm $900 lighter in the old wallet, but that's how it goes - can't be without a furnace in Saskatchewan during winter.
