A Funny Encounter At The Market
It was last Saturday I went out to see a friend and on my way back madam called that I should get meat that she wants to make a pot of soup and I said ok(but within me, I know that my pocket will hear it because of the cost of food items) so I went to the abattoir to get meat (small money).
After I purchased the meat and I was telling the butcher man that the meat was small for that amount, a man tapped me from behind and asked how much is this meat because it was small I told him the amount, but he just turned back and began to leave. I called him to enquire why he was going and he said and I quote "Oga if this small meat is sold for that amount you told me then what I have here will not even buy two pieces maybe is just empty nylon they will tie for me" we both laughed and said God will help us…
On turning back to get the meat I purchased, a lady was pricing chicken and turkey (maybe to compare the prices before she made her choice) and I heard the lady saying "Oga, why this turkey too cost na.." the butcher man replied with anger on his face and said "madam you know say to catch turkey sef no be small thing because the thing fit turn back pursue you, so the cost of chasing the turkey is included in the price"... I just smiled and left and guess what?
when I got home that same day, I met a visitor (my wife's friend)..and I noticed that she was not happy so I decided to ask her what the problem was after exchanging pleasantries and she said this country is so frustrating I just told her she should calm down that everything will be fine and I left her in the living room with my wife because I met them talking about something and the next thing I heard from her telling my wife was that "can you imagine I want to make a pot of soup and the amount my husband gave me was even more than what he usually drop but is not even enough to buy the ingredients to make the pot of soup and I wanted to buy one fine top for myself ooo" I was just smiling to myself and I said haaa...men dey suffer ooo because I know some men in this present harsh economy will not even think of buying handkerchief for himself not to talk of shirt but some women will still find a way to include wears in the budget presented to the man...😅
God please, bless all the women out there because they are wonderfully created, no matter the situation, fashion cannot be excluded from their budget. God will help the men out there because many men will soon start to have bald hair from the center of their heads due to too much thinking of how to sustain their families because of the harsh economy...On a more serious note, inflation is becoming too much and we need the Government to do something about it.

This crazy inflation has spoiled every wife's show lol but we all will be alright in the end.
I tell people these days, to do their best and don't be too hard on themselves, we are all in this together.
The inflation rate is too much and is really eating deep into someone's pocket... God bless all the women that still genuinely stick with their partner this trying time....we shall all overcome it.
My brother, the frustration in the land now is something else. People are starving and our leaders are not doing anything about it. They rather changed national anthem. It's well.
