What I am proud of

Topic of discussion: what are you most proud of?

When i first saw this topic, the one thing that came into my mind was my profession. I'm not proud of my Achievements, I'm not proud of assets, or anything, but the one thing I'm very proud of is being a Nurse.

When i was growing, i have a dream to be the best nurse anywhere i find myself, to devote my time and resources in making sure humanity is comfortable medically. My life have been an endless session of dreams, plans and motivations on how to become what i plan to be in other to achieve my goals. It was as if nothing was moving initially but now, i can say that I'm proud to follow my instincts and become a nurse.

Nurses are superheroes, kind, caring, i define nursing as Humility, kindness, caring, Loving, counselling, confidentiality with a touch of empathy and sympathy. During my journey of being a nurse, i passed through ups and downs, it was as if everything was going against me, but i didn't give up because i know what i wanted in life, being a nurse has been something I've got passion for, it is something that i live for, i told myself that "i want to help humanity in anyway" and the only way i saw myself helping others is by becoming a nurse and rendering my selfless service wholeheartedly to everyone who needs me not excluding financial services.

The best thing i love about being a nurse is the ability to be there when a patient needs me, i practice holistic care to my patients, making them feel very much comfortable even when they are suffering from the deadliest disease, The smile in their face when i help my patients actually keeps me going. I have been blessed by patients both old and young countless of times just because of my services, and I'm very happy and proud of being what i set out to be.

There have been times were i thought of giving it a break due to the work load, but when ever I remember that I'm called to serve humanity, i kept on pushing, and making sure with the help of the doctors that each and every patient gets better to their best.

Yesterday I went to the maternity theater as an assisting nurse for a Caesarean Section case, and I was happy that the the CS went smoothly and i was excited for the medical team for a job well done.

When asked what I am proud of, my only answer is that I am proud of the man i became, the nurse i turned into, I Delight am a resilient, hardworking, smart working, and empathizing and sympathizing nurse. I AM PROUD OF MY PROFESSION
