Trying something new is a very challenging thing in my life, including doing experiments from various processed ingredients that I often find around me.

This time I will try to make one of the simple and easy recipes. This process takes about two days to get maximum results. Now this time I will try to process one of the preparations from biang tempe, biang tempe itself is yellow beans that have been given tempe yeast. However, it has not yet become tempeh so we often call it tempeh. I got this main ingredient from a tempeh factory close to my house.

Tempeh Chips

Tempeh chips are processed tempeh that is stirred with tapioca flour and then fermented for approximately 48 hours to get delicious and crispy chips. I have never found this recipe in my area but in other areas these tempeh chips are often even a delicious souvenir if you visit Kessna.

Now curious about the steps in making it, let's see step by step in preparation for making tempeh chips.

Ingredients Used

300 grams of tempeh broad beans
200 grams of tapioca flour

Making Procedure

The step in the preparation of making tempeh chips is the fermentation process, this process takes a lot of time and makes me very curious about the final result.

Step 1

Open the package of tempeh that I bought then store it in a larger container.

Step 3

Next, put it in plastic, don't forget to compact it when you put it in plastic.

Step 4

Tie the ends of the plastic then don't forget to perforate the plastic in several parts. Next, hang it with a rope anywhere so that the yeast will ferment well, make sure it is at room temperature.

After fermenting for two days the tempeh chips are ready to be fried, I take them from the storage area. Next I will prepare some ingredients for the process of frying tempeh chips.

Tempeh chips are ready to be served, if you want to add other flavorings it is also very okay such as corn flavor or chili powder to adjust the spiciness. But I want the original taste of these chips, it's savory and really crunchy when bitten.

Fried tempeh alone is already very tasty, but trust me tempeh in fried just like that let alone processed chips is very tempting me. The first impression of making tempeh chips will definitely make me want to try it again.
