Cendol is a traditional drink that is very popular in my country. The process of making cendol is very varied, but there are many people who do it at home with easy and simple recipes like what I want to do today for example. Cendol is a drink made from rice flour which is made by molding. Made without flavor then enjoyed with coconut milk and palm sugar sauce.

Making cendol as a drink to break the fast is what I do most often. As I said above, before breaking the fast in the afternoon, I always prepare various sweet and delicious drinks. Well, the weather here is quite hot this month of Ramadan, therefore preparing cold sweet drinks will be very special at home, right? So, here is a simple and easy recipe for making cendol at home!

Ingredients Used To Make Cendol

5 tablespoons rice flour
1 pack of nutrijel
500 ml water
1 teaspoon salt
Ice
To taste pandan paste
Enough ice water

Es cendol without coconut milk and palm sugar sauce is not complete, therefore I also prepared complementary ingredients in the form of coconut milk sauce and also palm sugar sauce as complementary ingredients to enjoy ice cendol. However, if you don't like either of them, you can enjoy spoons with the vegetable milk you want.

Supplementary Ingredients

To taste coconut milk
To taste palm sugar
3 spoons of granulated sugar

Creation Procedure

Step 1

Put rice flour in a cooking pan, then mix with one packet of unflavored gelatin powder.

Serving Suggestions

Once everything is ready, I store some of the cendol in a closed container and then store it in the refrigerator for the next day. So for today, I took ¼ of the cendol by putting palm sugar in a glass and then adding a cup of cendol. Pour the coconut milk into a serving glass, stir well while enjoying it, then feel the sensation.

Chewy, sticky is the texture of cendol, combined with the savory coconut milk and sweet palm sugar. Everything combines perfectly, very tasty and fits perfectly on the tongue.

When breaking the fast I started drinking this, it was so refreshing, the combination of sweet and savory coconut milk combined perfectly with the chewiness of the cendol. Very delicious, this drink is a favorite drink that I often make at home.
