Grilled Spring Rolls Stuffed with Squash and Carrots
Today I wanted a crunchy snack while still eating vegetables at home. I made this vegetable-based dish from very simple and cheap vegetables. This recipe is inspired by snacks that are similar to gioza, except that usually the snacks are fried but this time I will invite you to make it in a different way, namely by roasting.
Roasted Squash Vegetable Spring Rolls
Roasted squash spring rolls are processed spring rolls made in the shape of a triangle then given a filling of chayote which is cut lengthwise to resemble noodles, combined with carrots and then lightly sautéed with a little oil so that the vegetables wilt.
Now the package is made triangular, actually you can wrap it in any shape at will. However, because I liked the shape I made it triangular. Interestingly, this time I baked the spring rolls until crisp with a spread of margarine, then I lifted them and enjoyed them in a hot condition. So here I will invite you to prepare the preparation steps for making this grilled spring roll!.
Ingredients Used
1 carrot
Spring roll skin to taste
¼ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon of ground pepper
3 spring onion stalks
2 cloves shallot
1 clove of garlic
6 pieces of cayenne pepper
Making Procedure
First prepare the spring onions cut according to taste, here I cut them small.
Next prepare the vegetable chopper, here I just bought a new chopper in the market place and this is the first time I use it. I started cutting the pumpkin ready to finish.
Next, slice the noodle-shaped carrot vegetables with the same size as the cyan pumpkin earlier.
Grind shallots and garlic to taste, then stir fry with one tablespoon of cooking oil.
Add the scallions, stir-fry until wilted and then add the chopped vegetables.
Stir-fry until wilted, then season with salt and pepper. Stir-fry until the vegetables are cooked.
Next, let it cool down then take a spoonful of vegetables wrapped in spring roll skin.
Fold the edges into a triangle shape until everything is done.
Then bake by spreading margarine on the grill. Then bake until brownish yellow.
Results
Tara!!! The grilled spring roll snack is ready to enjoy, it is best to use it hot after removing it from the grill because it still retains its crispness at that temperature. What I like the most is that the vegetables are cut with the help of a vegetable chopper which makes it very unique with the shape of noodles that are easily cooked so it doesn't take a long time to cook.
The final taste was surprising when I took a bite of the grilled spring roll with a natural sweet and savory taste from the combination of vegetables. I'm so happy that this snack turned out perfectly.

I'd love to try it. Looks like what we call a samoosa, but they cut strips and fold it into a triangle. I've not tried making that.
