Fried Shrimp With Crispy Flour Coating
This one is no exception, savory, crispy and certainly gives an authentic taste!.
Flour Fried Shrimp (Peyek Udang)
One of my favorite shrimp preparations is this dish, somehow shrimp fried in this way makes me increase my appetite and certainly makes my lunch very enthusiastic. Definitely eat on time, hehe this is because of this dish. We used to call it shrimp peyek. Well this shrimp peyek has a crunchy texture so it can be used as a snack as well as a side dish to eat with rice. I usually enjoy shrimp peyek with warm rice and stir-fried tofu and bean sprouts. Ahh it's so amazing that the lunch becomes complete.
Now this recipe has often been made at home, so when cooking it becomes very easy. But there is something you need to pay attention to when making shrimp peyek, make sure to use shrimp that are not too fatty like vaname, the texture will not be perfectly crisp. We recommend using fresh shrimp from the sea for maximum results.
Ingredients
100 grams of wheat flour
50 grams rice flour
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
150 ml water
¼ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon ground pepper
1 clove shallot
1 hazelnut
To taste aniseed
Making Procedure
Blend the spices with enough water.
then add the prepared rice flour and wheat flour gradually mix the flour while stirring so that it does not grind.
Add the shrimp that has been marinated with salt, stir until evenly distributed and then also season with salt and ground pepper.
Finally add the all-purpose flour and then add the finely chopped celery leaves, stirring until the texture is thick.
Fry in hot oil until golden brown, make sure to use low heat when frying.
Result
Peyek udang is ready to serve, this dish is very popular in Indonesia, usually served in restaurants or at home as a side dish enjoyed with rice. Well processed shrimp is also often used as a very delicious snack because it has a very authentic taste. Usually at home I prepare it at lunchtime, besides fried fish, shrimp peyek is also a mainstay when enjoying family lunch. Especially enjoyed with clear vegetable papaya, the deliciousness is extraordinary.
What I like most about this peyek is the crunchy texture, and also the flavor is very absorbed by the seasoning. Dry fried like this adds flavor to the shrimp and is one of the dishes you must try.
