First Time Baking Bread Purple Sweet Potato
Starting from the deliciousness of sweet potatoes, so that it can be polished into anything including making it with a combination of bread. I never thought I could make this bread at home. Initially learning to read recipes on social media and then I learned every difference to all these recipes so that my bread could rise perfectly. Now making food in the form of bread requires extra patience when we profile it indeed we spend a lot of time during the process. However, during the process I always use it to do other things so that my work is done faster. I think cooking and even baking requires you to love the work so that everything will feel lighter.
That is a piece of tips from me so that you can do activities in the kitchen more happily. Now back to today's theme that I want to show you is making one of the breads that I learned the recipe for a long time ago, namely purple sweet potato bread.
Purple Sweet Potato Bread
This bread is a combination of soft bread with purple sweet potatoes as a substitute for jam. Now because the purple sweet potato used here is sugared first so you will feel the sweetness of the bread from the purple sweet potato layer. Even though this is my first time doing it, it was enough to satisfy me to make this bread. Yeah even though it doesn't look as beautiful as I imagined the shape but I am very satisfied with the final result.
Ingredients Needed
250 grams of wheat flour
2 tablespoons cornstarch
50 grams of powdered sugar
1 tablespoon fermipan
¼ teaspoon bread softener
3 tablespoons butter
120 ml warm water
Making Procedure
Use steamed sweet potatoes, here I prepare steamed sweet potatoes in the evening before I make bread dough in the morning.
Then prepare the yeast with 130 ml of water and then barkan for approximately 10 minutes until the yeast is active and foamy.
While waiting for the yeast to activate, I mashed the sweet potato until it was completely crushed.
Then add it with powdered sugar, stirring evenly until the sugar is absorbed into the dough.
Prepare flour mix with cornstarch then stir dry flour until evenly distributed.
Next, add the yeast and stir until evenly distributed in the flour mixture.
Then add margarine, then knead until smooth and rest the dough for about 20 minutes until it doubles in size by covering the dough.
After 20 minutes deflate the dough then divide it into several pieces of dough.
Thin the dough, then put sweet potato filling on the surface of the dough. Then fold the dough into a thin layer
Then divide it into 2 pieces of dough, and then braid the dough by rounding the dough according to your taste.
Do it until all the dough is finished, then rest the dough for approximately 60 minutes.
After 60 minutes bake the dough at 180 degrees Celsius over onions for about 20 minutes. Now when the bread starts to cook I smear it with margarine on the surface of the bread so that the color is more beautiful
Result
Tara!!!
Sweet potato bread is ready to serve, serve the bread with a cup of coffee or tea to accompany your day. The bread is soft and very tasty, especially with the texture of sweet potato which is sweet and very tasty. What I like the most here is the color, the purple sweet potato blends beautifully with the bread. Moreover, there is a soft texture that is very legit, adding a different impression to this bread.
Although the shape of the bread is not too perfect, but the taste is enough to satisfy me. And I will try it again in the future by making better bread. Hehe, it's so nice to be able to bake at home with vegan recipes!
