Delicious Lunch With Sambal Vegetable Gambas

Preparing different dishes for a delicious lunch at home should always be done by preparing a new menu. This sambal dish is no exception.

This recipe was inspired by one of the regions in my country. They prepare gambas vegetable with chili as fresh vegetables to enjoy warm rice during the day. At first I was skeptical about this gambas vegetable chili sauce but who would have thought that the taste was far beyond my expectations. As I said above, this is my first time making chili sauce like this. With the flavor and texture of gambas that contains a lot of water I'm sure this sauce will have a spectacular taste later.

Capitalizing on one gambas fruit with some spices, it is transformed into a perfect lunch. Now instead of you being curious about the recipe let's look at the following step by step!.




Ingredients Used

1 gambas
6 red chili peppers
3 cloves of shallots
2 cloves of garlic
5 pieces of cayenne pepper




Cooking Procedure


Step 1


Clean the oyong, remove the jagged parts then split it into pieces.

Step 2


Cut the seasoning ingredients, chili and belsh onion into small pieces.

Step 3


Fry the chilies and onions that have been cut earlier, fry until brownish yellow.

Step 4


Fry the gambas that have been cut as well, fry until brownish yellow.

Step 5


Prepare the chili and onion ingredients that have been fried, add salt and roughly grind all the spices.

Step 6


Then add the fried oyong, grind coarsely not too fine. Sambal is ready to be served.

Serve the gambas vegetable on a plate with warm white rice, then add delicious fried tempeh for a complementary menu or as a vegetable protein. Ahhh I am so happy to prepare this dish, perfect and complete for my lunch today. Moreover, the addition of tempeh that has been fried crispy enough to help me enjoy the rice plate perfectly.

As for the taste, don't doubt it at all, it's definitely spicy, savory and what I like the most is that the texture of the gambas is enough to help the sambal become muddy and the sambal becomes very tasty. I highly recommend you enjoy this with white rice.

This is a typical recipe in my country. But only certain dj areas make chili sauce like this. I just made it for the first time and it turned out very tasty!
