De camino a casa, me encontré con «Don Quijote y Sancho Panza»//Walking home, I came across “Don Quixote and Sancho Panza”.

El jueves pasado, al salir de mi primera clase de pintura, a través de un lugar encantador, situado en la municipalidad de Avellaneda, Sarandí, Buenos Aires, descubrí a estos dos personajes. A las cinco de la tarde, iba rumbo a la parada del colectivo para llegar a la plaza Ucrania, cuyo nombre tiene que ver con la unión de migrantes entre ambos países; Argentina —Ucrania. Me sorprendió ver, dos esculturas elaboradas en hierro, que están expuestas de manera permanente en dicha plaza.
Eran las esculturas de, El Quijote y su compañero de aventuras, Sancho Panza. El dato curioso radica en que me esforcé por profundizar en la obra, y aún no pude hallar el nombre del autor, en ningún lugar de la misma.
Por cierto, cuando hacía las capturas, porque estaba sola, pedí a un señor que aguardaba por su transporte, me hiciera el favor de cuidarme las espaldas por si acaso pasaba algún amigo de lo ajeno. Pero la verdad es que no se presentó eso, porque ahora están dando vuelta las autoridades, bien sea a pie, en auto, o los de la gendarmería que pasan a diario en sus caballos.
En fin, la Plaza Ucrania está ubicada en la intersección entre la Av. Belgrano y Gral. Arenales de Avellaneda. Alberga diversas obras de arte, y de vez en cuando se realizan exposiciones artísticas. Solo pude tomar estas fotos, de frente y perfil a las esculturas, pues el horario me hizo apresurar. A propósito algunos vecinos del lugar, me comentaron que en esa plaza frecuentemente se realizan exposiciones de fotografía, pintura, rostros famosos, etc.
Con relación a Don quijote de la Mancha, les dejo escrita una frase que mi padre constantemente nos repetía, ya que siempre fue un asiduo lector, de El Quijote, y nosotros, sus hijos aprendimos a darle vida y buen uso.
Si esta frase la convertimos en realidad, la humanidad sería distinta. Es fácil de interpretar.

Last Thursday, as I was leaving my first painting class, through a charming place, located in the municipality of Avellaneda, Sarandí, Buenos Aires, I discovered these two characters.
