NAM HAI PAGODA - A pagoda isolated from the city
Hello everyone in the Hive community. š
How do you do? I am Thanh Tuan and I'm delighted to return and share the places I've visited. In my introduction, I mentioned that I like going to the pagoda to pray for peace and participate in volunteer activities organized by the pagoda. Today, I would like to take you to a pagoda that is physically separated from the bustling city.
The Nam Hai pagoda is located at Hoa Hiep Bac, Lien Chieu, Da Nang City, Vietnam, and at the foot of the Hai Van pass. The pagoda can be seen on the way up the pass, to the west. Rows of cool, green trees line the path to the temple's gate, creating a sense of calm. Looking out from the temple gate, you will notice a green rice field, vast and far away from the city lane.
What I like best about this location is the pagoda's geographical location. Nam Hai pagoda was built away from the city to create a sense of calm. This allows you to relax when praying and especially when participating in retreats here. There will be two paths to enter the pagoda behind the gate named after it. The first path is the long stairs that lead to the front of the pagoda. The second road is a moderately curved slope for those riding motorcycles or cars.
This is a pagoda with beautiful architecture, a red tile roof, and a spacious garden design. All of which combine to create a pure and peaceful atmosphere imbued with Vietnamese Buddhist identity.
The pagoda grounds are vast, with numerous potted plants and Buddha statues. This area is ideal for outdoor retreats or listening to sermons. I'm not sure if you're a Buddhist like me. But if you are a Buddhist, I believe you will fall in love with this place the moment you arrive.
A Maitreya Buddha statue stands in the center of the pagoda yard. In life, express joy, happiness, and optimism. Long ears represent compassion, charity, listening, and understanding of the hearts of others. The Maitreya Buddha statue holding a gold ingot and a bag of treasures represents prosperity, wealth, luck, and good fortune in feng shui. As a result, you cannot ignore this statue when bowing to Buddha statues. After praying, approach the Maitreya Buddha statue and place your hands on his feet to pray for your wishes to be granted.
Buddha Tathagata - The First Buddha on Earth. Buddha Tathagata is the person who lived on earth and founded Buddhism. Any Buddhist would like to follow his example to help himself get rid of the habit of greed, hatred, and delusion, have a peaceful disposition, a peaceful life, and a happy family.
Monks who are practicing have a resting area on the left side of the main hall. This location is very peaceful. It is also beautifully decorated. Below is a pond with Koi fish and a bronze Buddha wall in the middle of the lake. Two large and majestic Buddha statues stand outside the gate.
What do you think of this pagoda, built on a mountain pass away from the bustling city? The air is very clean and refreshing here. My ambition is to travel to and discover new places, particularly pagodas. In the following articles, I will introduce you to many pagodas built in Da Nang city. I hope everyone is excited about it. Join me as we discover together. Thank you for taking the time to read today's post. I hope you have a wonderful weekend with your family and friends.
