Eagle Nebula (my version and hubbles)

M16_final_GraXpert.jpg

I think everyone has seen hubbles image of the pillars of creation, now i dont have the budget of NASA but i have attempted my own version with a modest 102mm refractor telescope. The image is of the entire eagle nebula in a widefield view so the cropped zoomed in version is a little pixelated.

The eagle nebula is a star forming region approx 7000 light years away, the pillars of creation are fairly small around 5 light years tall, the colours are different as my image was shot using a one shot colour camera and hubble used lots of fancy filters.

Overall i am happy with this attempt as my last attempt was 2 years ago and there is a vast improvement, see below for old version.

I love all the images but it might help if each image was sourced for if any are reference photos. I really think we need more astrophotography on Hive and in this community!
