Salam guys. This is my deposit to #zapfic50monday contest. I think you'll like this short story.
As she grinds coffee, all of the thoughts of Jacob come rushing to her mind. She feels great after reliving all her memories with him. She forgets how he left him with his newborn child. This grinding of coffee makes her forget about the worries and harsh struggles of life.

Nice use of prompt, kudos to you mate
Enjoying a cup of coffee is nice for remembrances. It can sooth tension and provide a relaxing atmosphere for a short time. It can't however, take away the memories of the bad times when a partner has abandoned another and heaped upon that person a hardship in caring for an infant and becoming a single parent.
A person can't forget about that deep betrayal with one cup of coffee.
