MOTHER KHALA VS. OBSIDIAN
THE RULESET
The mana required for this battle is only 15, the key in winning low mana battle is to choose monsters wisely, preferably those with many abilities. The active elements are only life and earth.
ODD ONES OUT - In this rule, only monsters with odd mana can be used in the battle. There are no special tricks for this ruleset, but having an idea of mana points of a few monsters helps in predicting what your opponent can and cannot use.
MY LINE UP
THE SUMMONER : OBSIDIAN
Obsidian is a rare earth summoner from chaos edition that costs 4 mana. It has the ability to add magic attack to its friendly monsters with the same attack.
THE TANK : HILL GIANT
I choose hill giant to be positioned in the front because it has a high hp and low mana despite of having no ability, this monster has a melee attack.
SECOND ROW : SPIRIT HOARDER
A legendary neutral unit monster from the chaos edition with 2 abilities at level 2. It's attack is magic and costs 3 mana. It heals the back-line monster whi has taken the most damage and this ability is called triage. It has also the dispel ability, when it hits an enemy, it clears all positive status effects on that enemy.
LAST ROW : REGAL PERYTON
This rare monster has a magic attack and flying ability which reduces the chance to be hit with range and melee attack from the opponent.
THE OPPONENT'S LINE UP
My opponent used mother khala as his summoner. While mine is three monsters, he used four. The first in line is chaos agent, a monster from the neutral unit which has a dodge ability at level 3. It has an increased chance of evading melee and range attacks though it has no attack. Second is another neutral epic monster from the untamed edition, tortisian chief. At level 2, it has no ability but has 2 magic attacks. Third in line is uraeus, another epic monster from the reward edition. This melee attack monster has the sneak ability. It targets the last monster on the enemy team instead of the first monster. Last is a monster from the life unit which has also a sneak ability and a melee attack. Let's see who will win between my 3 cards versus his 4 monsters.
At the very first round, Regal Peryton attacks Chaos Agent with a magic attack causing the enemy monster to die. 3 left for the opponent's team.
Another two monsters were killed by a magic attack from legal peryton! Goodbye to Tortisian and uraeus.
The last monster in the opponent's team was killed by hill giant with its melee attack and regal peryton with its magic attack. It was a victory for the 3 monsters!
HOW TO DEAL WITH LOW MANA CAP BATTLES?
There is no specific technique on how to win in low mana cap battles, the most important thing is to choose monsters with low mana but with great abilities.
In this battle, I used a summoner that adds magic attack and I used monsters with magic attacks. Since my opponent mostly used melee attack monsters, the flying ability of regal peryton helped to avoid damage from these monsters. The triage ability of spirit hoarder also helped the backline monster to recover its health when attacked by the enemy.
Proper and wise positioning is the key to winning low mana cap battles.
