My 30-Day photoblog challenge. Day 27, cooking Cuban food
Hello everyone! Hope you're enjoying your weekend. We are at home because Lyn, my girlfriend has dengue, what is a tropical disease that give a lot of headache and fiver. These days I've cooked for her, it hurts me a lot that I have no appetite and I don't want to eat, but that's another of the consequences of the dengue. So in order to whet the appetite, I try some recipes that I've learned.
The first one is a Cuban soup, what is prepared with:
- two piece of chicken
- noodles
- male banana or malanga
- 2 teeth of garlic
- 2 or 3 scallions
- salt and pepper to taste
- a cup of soja or sunflower oil, or butter
Preparation: In a recipient, put 1/5 lt of water to boil with salt and pepper and the two pieces of chicken. In a frying pan fry the garlic and scallions with oil or butter. When the water is boiling, add the noodles and keep cooking for 15 minutes. In another recipient, put to boil the banana or malanga and add to the soup at the moment to serve.
The second one is Chicharrones
It consists of fried pork belly or fried pork rinds, just put it with salt in a frying pan in a high fire, be careful to not burn it.
The last one is the Ropa Vieja
- 1lb of shredded beef
- 2 teeth of garlic
- 2 or 3 scallions
- 2 sweet peppers
