Have you seen how AI-driven fraud has gotten lately?

I just read that digital forgeries skyrocketed by 244% this year, and deepfake attacks are now happening every five minutes. Scammers are using AI to fake IDs and fool systems, especially during online onboarding. Crypto platforms seem to be taking the worst hit.

How do we even keep up?

Only 244% ? I've seen an increase on my website in AI-driven fraud attempts by about 10x that in the last 6 months. Spam that gets around filters and AI-bots testing stolen cards, mostly.

I think we'd need to develop a new software that can battle this.
But wonder how that would be possible as it's getting better by the day

It's an arms race, sometimes the spammers and criminals have better AI, and sometimes the defenders do. I'm guessing that eventually we'll have to have some kind of "proof of life" verification that AI can't impersonate, although I've got no idea what. They've already taught AI to do Captchas and other online verification better than humans !
