Visit Museum Diorama Bale Indung Rahayu at Purwakarta

Hello everyone, how are you? Last June, I visited Purwakarta and stopped by a museum called Diorama Bale Indung Rahayu. This museum is small. Moreover, Purwakarta is considered a district that is not very well known. However, in this museum, there is a beautiful meaning.

The word Bale Indung Rahayu in Indonesian is a story about Mother. The word is taken from Sundanese. This museum is located in the middle of Purwakarta City. Its contents explain Sundanese culture, especially about mothers, namely women. There is a journey of human life that is packaged very modernly.

Starting from access to human birth and the role of women, more specifically the role of mothers when caring for children in Sundanese culture. There are relief arts, paintings, sculptures to buildings. The fun thing is that there are Sundanese games. The games provided by this place remind me of the games I used to play. Fun.

This museum reveals Sundanese culture about a mother from pregnancy to childbirth. There is also a phase of children playing until adulthood. At the end of the museum, there is a bale and an interesting meaning about the end of life. In my opinion, this is a museum that tries to give meaning to women and women's work so far.

Women who work as housewives are often not interpreted as work. Because they do not have wages. That is what considers a mother's job as unimportant work. However, this museum, opened our eyes to the of us, that a mother's job is very noble.
