The quest for financial freedom has led many to find things to do. Here in Nigeria (my country), the economy is very poor and the government is doing nothing about it. Oh yes, the governments live their lives, while the citizens are left to wallow in pain.

Most of the citizens are ignorant. Instead of thinking about how to make it big in the long run, they think about dubious ways. However, there are a few citizens who go the extra mile to make sure they secure a better and more convenient future.

We are in the 21st century. Things have changed. Technology has taken over the world. The importance of investment cannot be overemphasized and the wise are quickly seizing the opportunity to invest in something lucrative.

Some years back, I was fortunate enough to discover the importance of investment. My husband and I saved some money and bought a plot of land in an underdeveloped area. It baffles me how the land keep appreciating since then. The location of the land today is gradually developing and the price of land kept going up. Real estate is the “big fish” in today's world. Most wealthy and famous people today know the importance and beauty of investing in real estate.

You don't have to start big, you can always start small. There's beauty in starting small. Investment can change your life for the better if you invest in the right business. If you're one of those that think the investment is all about cryptocurrencies, then you're totally wrong. Yes! Crypto is a very good investment, but there are also hundreds of other ways to invest and one of them is investing in real estate.

Here are some of the amazing reasons why investment is important.

• A SIDE HUSTLE
  Growing up, I was taught not to put all my eggs in one basket. No one knows what the future helps that is why it is very important to diversify. Side hustles are good ways to extend your income, make end means, and for emergency reasons. Your investment can be your side hustle /passive income and that can help you make more money and prepare for the future.

• FINANCIAL FREEDOM
  As I said earlier, investment is a good way to achieve financial freedom. If you don t want to be a burden to your friends or family, then you should try investing. But one thing is not to invest wrongly. It is very important to invest in the right business so things will go your way.
