STAYING UP LATE AT NIGHT AND ACTIVE!
I won't deny the fact that sleep is good for our health. Getting enough sleep at night help to keep our brain so refreshed and active for our next day's activities. However, most of us work late into the night and many students also study at night to meet up with their set goals. For me to stay up at night and still be active while working, then it must be planned otherwise, I will doze off within a few minutes.
I am not in the category of people who takes something to stay awake. I tried such back then when I was still in the university but it never worked for me. I also tried soaking my legs inside a bucket of water as suggested by some students but found myself sleeping on top of my book 📚 till the next morning. The truth is that sleep is a natural phenomenon designed to happen so commonly at night and for you to cheat nature, then you must be deliberate about it.
So what did I do to stay up late back then in school?...
Firstly, I formed some groups of studies among my classmates. We are five in that group who have almost the same level of zeal toward education. So going to night class, we go together and study together mostly through group discussion of different subjects. With this method, I stay up late and alert until our studies are over usually 3 hours so we can catch up with enough sleep as well. Then whenever I didn't make it to study with my group, I must sleep early and wake up at night to read, by then, my body system must have relaxed.
Another important thing I do then was reading on a desk and chair instead of reading on my bed 🛏️. I see a lot of students who read on their beds and I smile. Well, naturally some people are just gifted by staying up late with any position whether lying down or sitting but then, many people invite sleep on their own by lying down to study. When you sit up at your desk and chair, even your brain and other of your body system will be notified naturally that you mean business 😂, and sleep will be far away. This is an interesting tactic that worked for me then.
Even now as a blogger, I work mostly at night. After attending to my motherhood duties during the day, I feel so much exhausted, and staying up late becomes difficult. So what I do sometimes is to sleep, relax and get rid of the stress then wake up towards 4 am when the environment is still so calm and I began to write. This has been the best time to think 💬💬 and write without any distractions from anyone. Times, when ideas flow, I write and save them in my draft pending when I want to publish. Reading posts and replying to comments can be done any time during the day but for content creation, it's best done for me at night after catching some sleep to rest my brain 🧠.

Reasing on the bed is a no no for me too, it's just as if you are tempting your self.

I can read while on my bed only during the day, if I try such at night I will doze off in a couple of minutes 😆. I also go to night class with my friends, it's very effective in keeping me awake, at least there are no beds there in school

Yeah you've mentioned valuable points, it seems we have almost the same tactics to staying up and active at night.
Without taking any substance when all points are followed to the latter I think it will go a long way by helping one to achieve some things during the cool times at night or very early in the morning.

Perhaps, it was God's mercy that helped me during exams in school. Till I finished from school, I have been reading on the bed. Though it wasn't convenient for me, but I had no money to get a chair and table as it was expensive. I had to cope with sitting and lying on bed which causes backache many times and makes me sleep on time.
It was after I finished school that I bought those for my blogging activities and it has been helping me. The only time I use my bed is at night when I want to sleep.
Just like what Burlarj said, you can't cheat nature but you can bribe it by planning to take naps during the day then you stay awake at night.
Back pain is another thing associated with sitting down to read on bed 🛏️, glad you scaled through your exams in school then. You are really prepared for this blogging by getting the desk and chair 😂😂😂💺.. that's nice

The first time I try working at home during the night was really challenging. I always feel very sleepy as my bed is beside me. Compare this to when I can do 40 hours or more of work without sleepy on my previous company. Overtime, I manage to conquer my sleepiness and I can now work beside my bed until 12mn or even until 4am. 😊

Falling asleep at night is just natural . I understand the challenging part especially when you first begin but it becomes a bit easier when you continue to do it over and over. Your body will get used to it with time and you will keep adapting.
