JUST BEING SILLY
The hive learners community has again presented to us another interesting prompt that got me reflecting on the silly things I have done in the past π€¦. I must commend the brain behind this weekly prompt because they have been of great assistance to so many writers here including me π
Upon reading some of the entries from other members, it got me smiling nonstop. I got to see how silly some of us can be at times. Well, not necessarily because we don't have common sense but some days are just like that π. I have done so many silly things too, some of them, hehehe...I can't voice them out because it's just too silly, lolz...glad the question said "one silly thing"
How silly an adult like me can be, I had an induction ceremony to attend. It was for my profession and the head of our department already gave all inductees a particular type of uniform to dress on that day. I had to buy the complete set of the corporate uniform in the market, came home, washed and ironed the clothes waiting for the D-DAY.
The night before the induction ceremony, I brought out the clothes from my wardrobe and discovered a very tiny stain on the back of the shirt. Instead of me overlooking it since it wasn't too noticeable, the silly voice in me told me to wash it that night so I can appear so neat on the occasion π, boom...I listened to the tiny voice and quickly wash the shirt almost at midnight. An hour after I finished washing the cloth, it started raining heavily, wooooottttt!! The room temperature that should have saved me became too cold as well...hmmm, sleep ran away from my eyes ππ. I was squeezing the cloth trying to dry it with my hands π€¦ , it was a little bit heavy shirt, not the light type. At this point, it dawned on me that I am gonna wear wet cloth to the induction ceremony. If only I respected myself by not washing the cloth, I wouldn't have been on that hot seat but no, I was so sillyπ€«π.
Morning came, the shirt was still very wet and I had just one hour to be at the induction ceremony. Fortunately, there was NEPA light and I was happy at least I can use an electric iron to dry the shirt. Well, the worst later happened ππ, the electric iron shocked the laziness/silliness out of meπ€¦π lolz.
I had no other choice than to wear wet cloth for the ceremony π. I was indeed silly out of over Sabi (know it all), lolz!

This is so funny π
I remember I do this too while I was in sec Sch. Iβll be so lazy to wash my clothes after coming home at night. So I wash sometimes in the morning.. I usually use iron too π and sometimes it will dry on me ππ
Thanks for sharing tho.
It will dry on you ππ
Oh my goodness, a lot of people have this experience...it's just so silly... lolz
Thanks so much for visiting my dear
Much appreciated π₯°ππ€
π€£π€£ what a silly thing to do! I think almost everyone can relate to this experience as well. It reminds me of when I washed my uniform late and it wasn't able to dry in time for school. There wasn't even any light to iron it and at the end of the day, I had to wear were the wet uniform like that π€¦π.
Hahaha ππ
Why are many people just silly like me.. lolz π
Hahahaha, I'm just imagining how you felt that day, oh no the rain did not try ooo.
Don't mind me
Lesson learnt by being silly π
Hehe. This part got me ππππ. I remember the time electric iron shocked me..Omo, that was the day I stopped using it...πππ
LoL. I like the tiny voice inside you oo. It wanted you to appear neat na. πππ. Something like this has also happened to me in high school.
In my case I came back from school Very late (because I played football) my uniform was sweaty and dirty...when I got home, after pulling my uniform off, I slept off.
Then in the midnight, I jumped up because I remembered I hadn't washed my uniform and I couldn't wear it like that to school because I was a school prefect.
There was no NEPA light.. after washing my uniform, I spread it inside and hoped it'd magically dry up. Lo and behold, the next morning cane and it didn't magically dry up. I had to wear wet uniform to school that day.
πππππ
You sef have plenty silly act πππ
You need online cane βΊοΈπ
Hmm, that shocking part is so real, it has happen to me too often that I'm always very careful not to place my bare hands on wet cloth when ironing them, as a tailor, we can't do without steam press at times.
You would have jejely wear your shirt and safe yourself the stress.
Glory my dear.... don't mind that silliness in me π...who send me π
Thanks for dropping by π
Hahaha, my over Sabi ambassador π€£π€£π€£, that was really silly oo, at least you should have washed just the part that was stained instead of washing the whole shirt but no, you want to be a neat lady π€£π.
I've been in that type of situation many times then when I was still in secondary school and I forgot to wash my socks, hehe.
π€£π€£π€£π€£π€£π€£
Neat lady indeed...over Sabi no go kill me
Silly Nkem ππ
Hahaha, yes naw, my type of person π€£π€£π
Lols
Hahaha, yes oo, we are in similar boat, hehe.
Correct then
Together forever π€£π€£π€£
Yes oo, we dey together ππ
Funny how something else took the place of the perfect neatness you planned to show off that day.
Maybe you were the health prefect in high school, and that was the reason you couldn't disregard the tiny stain ππ
I'm so sorry about that. Finally, you wore your wet cloth while looking extremely sad.
Sometimes we can't avoid the foolish day because it will surely happen to us.
I'm grateful for the early morning laughs because it made me laugh out loud.
Have a great weekend π
Hehehe it's the iron shocking you part that got me the most !LOLS
Though we can't totally blame you because you want to look nice for the induction, and beside you can't predict what the weather can do.
But then washing the whole cloth night to the day hehehe, you should have just wash the stained part alone.
π€£π€£π€£π€£π€£
I was just silly π€¦π€¦
I didn't think straight atall
On the quest to look neat βΊοΈ
Well the story never finish, tell us how people looked at you with a wet cloth on hehehe.
π€£π€£π€£π€£π€£
Leave me ooo ππ
I think this is the Silly thing you've ever done, because if you had left those little stains on your clothes then this silly thing would never have happened. π π
