DOING BOTH SIMULTANEOUSLY

Work and study are what most students did while in school and a lot of students are still engaging in both now. This is because, the majority of students lack funds to finance their education, feeding, accommodations, etc, and so they find ways to get a part-time job to assist in their financial needs while still in school.

However, it is no doubt that striking a balance ⚖️ between the two is never an easy peasy task. A lot of time, you will discover that your mind is full of mixed ideas and anxiety (workload and study) and this can lead to physical stress. For your academics, you will have a lot of assignments and perhaps projects to work on and you might decide to stay awake for hours at night to study even after being exhausted from your part-time job during the day. Sometimes, you may not even achieve that level of study you envisioned due to stress and your mental health is also placed at risk. For a student to achieve a good result, much time is expected to be given to study.

Working is stressful. Holding a job requires that you meet up with the time daily at your working place, finish all the tasks designated to you, and find a way to maintain a good relationship with your co-workers and this can come with some pressure, thereby putting mental abilities while trying to balance both work and study.

However, someone who has no means of financing his academics will be left with no option but to cope with both.

I have worked and studied at the same time for one year in the past. It was never easy to cope but then, what I did was plan my time both to meet up with deadlines and to get results. Coping with the stress; these tips might be useful to you:

  • You " must" create a study plan: The importance of this cannot be overemphasized!
  • Good sleep is crucial: Find time to relax!!!! It helps.
  • Limit your social media usage within the time to avoid some level of distractions.
  • Give yourself short breaks (at intervals) while working or studying: This will assist your brain 🧠 in working effectively when you don't concentrate on the same thing for a long period.
  • Lastly, eat well, exercise if possible and ask for assistance when needed.

Limiting time in social media as well as television is one of the best thing to save time for work and study. Thanks for those tips @nkemakonam89. It will be helpful to those students who are also working and vice versa.

Joggling both isn't an easy peasy thing but if one follows the tips to overcome stress which is the end result when you combine both together, it would be easier for such a person.

I believe that working while at the same time studying has great benefits too.
Yes, it is really difficult but we will learn how to manage our time to study and work. It's basically learning how to survive which is not being thought at school. As per my observation, those who don't have experienced working while studying can only work in ideal situations after graduating.

Me and a fellow students realized this when we are already in our final years in college and tried to apply to be a job (e.g. student assistant) but it is already too late.

In a way, I envy you and those working students who learned this valuable lesson early in their life. And I personally advise students to get a part time job while studying.

Really not easy but that is the reality that we're going to face after graduating. Experiencing and doing it earlier puts us ahead than those who did not experience it. 😊

Some extremely logical and valid suggestions there @nkemakonam89!!! It is hard enough to work on both during the year, but a lot of students have had to do exactly that. Hope they take your suggestions into consideration, they will do exponentially better.
Excellent work on the post as well!
