First season at the glint store.

A new season in splinterlands and a look at the updated reward system.
Introducing glint tokens.

Under the new system, instead of earning Reward Points for each ranked battle win, players will earn a new token called Glint.
The Glint token will be non-transferrable, and the formula for earning Glint tokens from ranked battle wins will be very similar to the current formula for earning Reward Points, which is primarily based on the player's current rating and then adjusted based on various modifiers and bonuses such as the type of cards used in the battle, guild building level, and staked SPS balance, among other things.

I've been in the game since the very early days and before we even has season or rewards. This is the just the latest in a series of chances to the rewards in the hopes of getting the right balance between value and rewards. It's been going on since day one and not an easy balance to find.

The glint reward shop is now in operation and just something that we have to get used to. I like the fact that i will no longer be getting any potions in my rewards but i do miss the excitement of a daily reveal.

Instead most of my tokens are saved up for the end of season where it is all blown in a few minutes.

I did a few small trials with my first rewards but the main event was EOS and 120,000 glint.

10 Veteran draw. 10,000 Glint.

10 x Elite draw. 25,000 Glint.

9 Elite draw. 33,750 Glint.

10 x Master draw. 50,000 Glint.

Nothing too exciting from 120K rewards but a few cards that i needed. I've already maxed out all of the common and most of the rare so it's all about the epic and legendary cards for me from now on.

It's going to cost me on master draws but hopefully the new system will give me a better chance at hitting these rarer pulls.

It's neither good nor bad just different. Like anything it will take time to get used to it and figure out the best strategy moving forward. I like getting all of the extra cards even if it's not as exciting as in the past.
