The Gradual Triumphs Of Our Collective Change
As Simon Sinek said, “Leadership is not about being in charge. It's about taking care of those in your charge." A while back, a group of vibrant individuals believed in me and gave me the opportunity to lead them in making a change in our society and world at large while developing ourselves and creating life long bonds.
It all started as ideas at the back of our minds. Brainstorming in any free lecture hall we could come across. Dedicating our time, resources and all we had into our little ideas. Gradually we started to progress. This isn’t a one man story, this is a story of team work.
We looked around us, went into our community, spoke to the indigenes and finally we sought out ways to better the lives of our own people. In Africa, particularly in the Northern part of Ghana where we found ourselves life wasn’t a bed of roses for majority of people. Majority of people in northern Ghana are farmers and these farmers despite their dedication often find themselves living on the edge of poverty. Imagine working on a farmland from dawn till dusk only to harvest a few bags of rice at the end of the farming season.
We could relate to the situation of these people since we have lived with them and we understood the root of the problem. Before, we didn’t know what to do to help our own people but guess what? We had ideas! And today, our ideas have grown to become life changing opportunities for the people of northern Ghana and our country at large.
Today, we are able to go out there on international stages to show the world what team work, dedication and passion has done for the people of our country. Our projects started a few years ago, some even months ago. Then, we thought we couldn’t make the change we wanted to see but that didn’t deter us but it rather served as a motivation for us. We had our setbacks, but the goal was to come up with innovative ideas to make the world a better place. The plan was to make use of waste of any form to make our impact while achieving our mission.
Leading this team wasn’t an easy task for me as I had always be on my feet. Motivating them, being there for them, giving them a listening ear while guiding them on ways to better this and that. We had our differences but that didn’t stop us grow making a difference. To anyone out there with a an idea, a plan or even the passion to do something. Your idea is never too small and you are not incapable.
Today, I want to tell you to believe in yourself because that is the first step to greatness. Gather yourself and go do your thing out there , one day you will look back and say you did it!
I hope you enjoyed reading this , thank you for your time.

Alright dear
To lead one must first serve and to appreciate the big wins one must first learn to see the good and glory in the small wins, faith in ourselves is one crucial step to attaining goals and achieving greater heights, thanks for your inspiration today

True, leadership is not about taking in charge but being able to take care of the people in charge. Nice job for taking time that every thing works well in Ghana especially the young men and women.
