My Last Adventure
I just came back from a very long but also very short trip just a few days ago. I was speaking to @fashtioluwa about how exhausting it was and he started to call me Kwaku the traveler, funny.😂 For this trip, I was required to journey all the way to another part of the country on behalf of my company. The good part of this was that, I didn’t go alone and this was a place I hadn’t been to before. So, it was more like a new experience to me.
We set off very early in the morning which was very unlike me. If you know me, you’d know I would never travel during the day unless it’s urgent. All my trips are at night so that I can get time to sleep and enjoy the quiet. Traveling during the day is just not my thing because of all the noise and heat from the sun. I thought this journey would be a fun one and it was, for some part of the journey. We knew how to get to our destination but nothing prepared us for what was to come after we had changed buses twice.
There was no straight vehicle to this place unlike many other places we travel to. It was a town that was very secluded and closer to the boarder of Cote d’ivoire. We had to hop on our first two buses to get to the main station where we could get a bus to the community. Guys, the road from the station to the community was a total disaster. The bus could literally somersault and that would be the end of us all.
The last three hours of our journey were really frustrating and sad to me in a way. These are the parts of our country no one speaks about. This road leads to one of the largest communities producing cash crops which are mostly exported. Meaning, the road is used by both citizens, non-citizens and even our almighty politicians. I even had to ask someone from there if they’re going to vote this December cos the government needs to do better with their roads.
But, aside this the experience was very great. We were treated really nicely and oh my, the environment was beautiful. There was greenery everywhere and you should see the mountains and how breathtaking they looked. I went there for business and I came back after business. But, even though in a way I wouldn’t want to go back there again because of the road, I know I will most definitely be going back there in a few days or weeks time. Now, the plan is to use a different route.
I hope you enjoyed reading, thanks for your time.

The great traveler - Nhaji,,,I hail thee 🙌 😅
Omo..I can't risk my life to travel in the night. If I want to travel even a short distance, I am already on the road at 6 am so as to get to my destination in broad daylight. We don't know what might happen, so, it is better to see what is happening during the day than in the night.
I hate places like this as it end up becoming a sickness to me.
Abeg.😂😂
As for me, traveling during the day is not for me. We are total opposites.😂
Hehehe. Yes, we are opposites. Lol
Remember Nhaji of Ghana, the name is kwaku the traveler.
I am glad you get to travel and experience different part of the country and see different things. The roads are terrible tho and I hope the government can fix that. Also, you that, I am surprised you said you love to travel at night because of those excuses you gave. Hehe, I guess Ghana is a more safe country than ours. The last time I traveled in the night was when I was traveling from the western part of the country to the core north, and you know how big Nigeria is. It was a two days journey.
😂if you travel at night in Nigeria they will kidnap you. Just go during the day and stay safe for me.🌚
Hehehe
I’ll do that 😌
Babe .. you are a pro traveller oo 😂
Like seriously, that's a lot of adventure lined up for u
Come to think of it..how come you prefer night journey
How can u enjoy traveling without exploring nature and landmarks on the way ? Huh? Lol
Anyways, life is a choice
Bad road is common in our African country
I'm hoping our government starts doing better someday
I’m just a soft girl. 😭😂
I want to sleep at night.
Most of these drivers wouldn’t want to stop throughout the journey as they have a target to meet.
As we hope, let’s also find ways to jakpa.😂😂🤝
