Wanda Maximoff (Scarlet Witch, Scarlet Witch in Spanish) is a fictional superheroine who appears in comics published by Marvel Comics. She first appeared in X-Men #4 (1964) and was created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, debuting in the so-called Silver Age of Comics. In her early days, she was introduced as a supervillain along with her twin brother named Quicksilver, both founding members of the Brotherhood of Mutants.

In her beginnings, she was presented as a supervillain along with her twin brother named Quicksilver, both founding members of the Brotherhood of Mutants. The character, introduced in the beginning as a mutant, has abilities to alter reality in unspecified ways and is also a powerful sorceress. Later, she would become a regular member of The Avengers. Eventually, she would marry her teammate named Vision.

En sus inicios, fue presentada en una supervillana junto con su hermano gemelo llamado Quicksilver, ambos miembros fundadores de la Hermandad de Mutantes. El personaje, presentado en sus inicios en una mutante, posee habilidades para alterar la realidad de formas no especificadas y es, además, una poderosa hechicera. Más tarde, se convertiría en miembro regular de Los Vengadores. Con el tiempo, contraería matrimonio con su compañero de equipo llamado Visión.
