My Daily Story 16/3/2024 : Shrines near the house.

Hello all friends.
How are you today? There are probably many people who are resting at home because it is the weekend. But there may be some friends who have to work. May everyone be happy and enjoy living life every day. Yesterday at 6:00 p.m., my family and I went to visit a shrine near our house. I have taken photos of the surrounding atmosphere and will tell the story for you all to read today. We had been to this shrine once, 2 years ago. It was considered a long time to be able to come to a shrine this close to home. The shrine here is located next to the main river of Banting District. This large river flows into the vast sea of Malaysia.
In the evening, we drive along the road in a small village until we reach the riverside. On the right hand side there is a shrine that is not big in size but is very beautiful and unique. At this time the temple was quiet with a gentle cool breeze blowing. I saw about 2-3 puppies walking near the shrine grounds. Exiting to the riverside, there were about 2 cars parked and if you looked closely you could see about 3 people sitting and fishing. We parked the car and walked into the shrine. We chose to walk to the waterfront pavilion where there was a place set up for locals to make merit by releasing fish. The shrine will provide instructions on how to release fish or what animals into the river.

After that, we walked inside and saw two more statues of the Goddess Kuan Yin. I can't remember the names of them but there was one that I had seen in a movie where an actor acted in a movie. We watched each other. It is large and stands out elegantly and beautifully, and the surrounding walls are carved with patterns of various animals according to Chinese literature. On the left hand side is a palm plantation. Unfortunately, now the palm plantation has been cut down, leaving a bare area. I think this area may soon be built into a village.
I really like and find it difficult to frequent this shrine. But my husband doesn't have much time to bring him. Therefore it is considered a good day for me and the children to have the opportunity to come to this shrine. We walked back to the riverside shrine again and looked at the river where the water in the river was beginning to recede. We saw egrets that had come to eat fish on the riverbank and a group of monkeys hanging in the nearby trees. Saw a flock of birds flying low, just a little above the surface of the water, hovering around. I think it's looking for prey in the water. It looked like another beautiful nature. The children played in the shrine grounds for a while until the sky started to darken. We were brought back home.
