Let's cook food to worship our ancestors.

Hello all friends
Yesterday morning, my mother-in-law and I woke up early. Because today at our house we will cook food to pay homage to our ancestors. Or in the calendar there will be a reminder that it is "Chinese Festival Day" or the meaning is that living children and grandchildren will cook food to pay respects to those who have passed away. They will do this every year. I remember every year. We prepare many dishes like this the day before. When it's time to cook, it will be easier and faster. After helping my mother-in-law with the cooking, I went to set the table and wait for bowls, spoons, and chopsticks. After that, food would be brought to the table and the mother-in-law would start lighting incense sticks to pay respects to the ancestors and begin burning silver and gold paper and sending them as well. It is considered complete.

After finishing worshiping, the children also returned home so we ate lunch together. The children were running around, some playing badminton, some playing games, some running around the house, which looked like a very fun day. Or to call it another way, it is a family reunion day. When the brothers met again, they talked and asked about each other's welfare as usual. It's no different from Chinese New Year when everyone gets together and cooks food together like this. Sometimes I think that the Chinese cultural tradition is to have as much time for family as the Thai people do. There is the Songkran festival where siblings get to come back together or it is a general international New Year where the factories close down so they go home to meet their relatives. Each tradition has its own goodness and qualities. The emphasis varies, but it focuses on families being reunited.
