Memoir Monday 35: If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?

This one is easy. South East Queensland is my defiantly my first choice and first by a long way. I have done quite a bit of travelling visited over 30 different countries and worked in 5 of the 7 States and Territories of Australia. So I think I have worked out where is best for me, I think it wins hand down mainly because of the climate. Sure it can get a bit too hot for a couple of months per years, but I find it much easy to try and stay cool rather that trying to get warm all the time. Especially as I start to age and slow down.

Just looks at these beaches why wouldn't it be my first pick.

We have the world famous Kirra Beach on the Gold Coast to the South which always looks inviting even on a bad day..

Lay back Bribie Island and the Sunshine Coast to the north.

North Stradbroke Island to the east. Where you can even drive on the beach.

Rush hour!

Brisbane city does not scrub up too bad either. People complain about the cost of living and the traffic but you seem to get that just about every where nowadays. I am so glad my parents retired up here and I followed more than 30 years ago. I used it as a base while travelling, at first before settling down here as well. I had to work two jobs in the early days and lots of overtime to get ahead but it was worth it.

South Bank of the Brisbane River with the Central Business District behind.

With those beautiful 😍 Beaches I won't mind relocating with my family to South East Queensland permanently.

Great choice you have here.

I can see why you would choose these locations as places you would want to live in. Those beaches are simply stunning, with clear blue waters, and long stretches of pristine beaches! Lovely!
