RE: The Concubine || Book Review

Damn, this book. I've always wanted to read it, so I skipped the "summary" part of your post because I don't want any spoilers.

I'm not surprised your rating is high, Amadi is really good, I've read 2 of his books: The Great Ponds, and Estrangement. Have you read any of these?

Lol, I aimed for the post to be spoiler free, though. But yeah, you should read it and get the full experience. It's a lovely read, no doubt.

And I've had The Great Ponds sitting in my library for months, but I've not had the leverage to pick it up, yet. How good is it?

Woo! The great ponds is about perfect! A solid 9 outta 10. That book thrilled the shit out of me. I read it a long time ago, though, say 2013 or so. It's very powerful, memorable, entertaining, and thrilling.

It's definitely in my top 10 African books, and I've read over a hundred at this point 😀.

Wow, I didn't know you read books like that. That's lovely. And I guess that's my cue to pick up The Great Ponds. I already have the feeling that it will be a journey of a lifetime. Thank you for the recommendation.🌺

Heheh. Gurl, that only means I didn't come across to you as someone who reads. Lol. And I wonder why. I'm actually a published author, this is my book:

I end all of my post with a little advertisement of it, you've never seen ne mention it at the end of a post?

That's truly commendable, and I guess I may have overlooked it. Honoured to meet a published author, then.🌺
