Doing Decline Dumbbell Press Without a Traditional Decline Bench
The Decline Bench press is a workout that's supposed to build the lower parts of the chest. Ideally it is done with a bench tilted 15-30 degrees towards the ground.
A bench like this:
A bench that can be tilted forwards or backwards to whatever degree you want is something lacking in the gym I attend, but we have something else which is not really a bench but kinda like a bench.
It's permanently facing downwards in the decline position, but it is mainly used for situps and stuff.
I was always unhappy about not finding a decline bench until one day I watched someone do a situp with it and it occurred to me I could use it for the decline press.
I immediately started using it only for me to go online one day with a certain search query to find that I didn't invent this, that people have been using benches like these for decline presses for generations. Lol.
