Elite 8- A Failed Ending | Series Review [En-Es]
Crude, unprecedented and boring. A series that ended in season three and that was able to attract attention in its other seasons thanks to Patrick Blanco and Isadora Artiñán.
Tosco, inaudito y aburrido. Una serie que finalizó en la temporada tres y que pudo llamar la atención en sus otras temporadas por Patrick Blanco e Isadora Artiñán.
Let me be clear, the situation in Venezuela does not keep me focused. My head is split, and even exhaustion made me sick. I can't write much here, either because of work time or what's going on with my hands. I started highlighting those aspects because of my current condition. It's very difficult for me to sit down, concentrate and sustain 60 minutes of writing.
To recap, a couple of days ago, the latest series of Elite was released. Since I started this blog on Hive, I have reviewed each season, and I know that some people liked the series up to season three and others didn't even care for it. This last season, I have to say, was no different at all. Same old script in a worn-out product.
Elite was exploited, even though the series was a success in its initial three seasons, the later seasons did not live up to any kind of expectation. In season 8, the script is lousy, there is no sensuality at all. Even the message of the series ends up being very interventionist. The rich are the bad guys, capitalism is depraved and the poor are the oppressed. A script that generates social resentment and envy.
Seré claro, la situación de Venezuela no me mantiene centrado. Mi cabeza está dividida e incluso el agotamiento llevó a que me enfermara. Tampoco puedo escribir mucho por acá por razones de tiempo laboral y lo que sucede con mis manos. Inicio resaltando esos aspectos debido a mi condición actual. Es muy difícil para mí sentarme, concentrarme y mantener 60 minutos de escritura.
Recapitulando, hace un par de días se estrenó la última serie de Elite. Desde que inicié éste blog en Hive reseñé cada una de las temporadas y sé que a algunos les gustó la serie hasta la temporada tres y a otros ni siquiera les interesó. Ésta última temporada debo decir que no fue para nada diferente. El mismo guion en un producto desgastado.
Elite fue explotada, a pesar de que la serie fue un éxito en sus tres temporadas iniciales, las posteriores no cumplieron ningún tipo de expectativa. En la temporada 8 el guion es malísimo, no hay nada de sensualidad. Incluso el mensaje de la serie termina siendo muy intervencionista. Los ricos son los malos, el capitalismo es depravador y los pobres son los oprimidos. Un guion que genera resentimiento social y envidia.
The last season, instead of seeking a conciliatory and learning message, taught nothing. There was no reflective message, only a whim of revenge that does not externalize a determinant purpose in those who harm others.
I should point out that the dysfunctional behavior of many of the young people in the Elite is due to detachment from their parents and the environment in which they were raised. They were given everything at a young age and therefore believe that they can crush others with their economic power or social position. Where is the reflection on this group of people? There are none.
A poor script is cemented when scenes are designed to make money and not leave a palpable mark. Season 8 of Elite stinks.
There is a death as in every season, sex that is not at all erotic, excessive vulgarity and drugs. The same elements end up leading to an investigation, which, in this case, results in a culprit. Well, the only difference with previous seasons is that the culprit is caught. Unfortunately, justice doesn't come to him, and the reason is simple: they don't let him breathe in prison.
La última temporada, en vez de buscar un mensaje conciliador y de aprendizaje, no enseñó nada. No hubo un mensaje reflexivo, solo un capricho de venganza que no exterioriza un propósito determinante en aquellos que hacen daño a otros.
Debo precisar, que la conducta disfuncional de muchos de los jóvenes en Elite es debido al desapego de sus padres y el entorno donde se han criado. Se les dio todo desde pequeños y, por ende, creen que pueden aplastar a otros con su poder económico o posición social. ¿Dónde está la reflexión hacia éste grupo de personas? No lo hay.
Un guion pobre se consolida cuando las escenas se diseñan para hacer dinero y no dejar una huella palpable. La temporada 8 de Elite apesta.
Hay una muerte como en todas las temporadas, sexo para nada erótico, excesiva vulgaridad y drogas. Los mismos elementos terminan llevando a una investigación que, en éste caso, provoca que existe un culpable. Bueno, la única diferencia con temporadas anteriores es que el culpable es apresado. Lamentablemente, la justicia no llega ante él y la razón es simple: No lo dejan respirar en la cárcel.
The blunder no one expected in Elite 8 was the forced introduction of a sex cult full of prostitution and obscenity. Alumni are something out of nowhere. The morbidity on display is cheap, putrid and not at all sensual. No subtle hint of seduction is externalized.
The development of the new characters is very poor. Even the return of Nadia Shanaa is not understood. It has no logic whatsoever. It's very forced, and one element that completely wore the showdown was Omar's presence in every season. Yes, even in this one.
Omar is the least popular character in the series and had no reason to be kept around until its closure. He also didn't potentially draw attention from the beginning of Elite and that he was shown as someone who was decisive in the denouement, makes it clear that everything was poorly developed.
El desatino que nadie se esperaba en Elite 8 fue la presentación forzada de una secta de sexo llena de prostitución y obscenidad. Alumni es algo sacado de la nada. El morbo que se muestra es barato, pútrido y nada sensual. No se exterioriza un toque sutil de seducción.
El desarrollo de los nuevos personajes es muy pobre. Incluso el regreso de Nadia Shanaa no se entiende. No tiene ningún tipo de lógica. Es algo muy forzado; además, un elemento que desgastó por completo la serie fue la presencia de Omar en todas las temporadas. Sí, incluso en ésta.
Omar es el personaje menos popular de la serie y no tenía ninguna razón de ser para mantenerse hasta su cierre. Tampoco llamó potencialmente la atención desde el inicio de Elite y que se mostrara como alguien determinante en el desenlace, deja por sentado que todo fue mal desarrollado.
Omar's post-traumatic stress is boring and uninteresting. It doesn't make any sense at all. Everyone left The Encinas school, and he stayed stuck in a disgusting place. Logic? None.
The two new characters, Hector Krawietz (Nuno Gallego) and Emilia Krawietz (Ane Rot) try to emulate the brothers, Blanco. A total failure.
Without a doubt, my formal criticism will always be of the drug use and the lack of maturity of each of the characters. There is no reflection on their part, which makes it an empty series that does not solve the problem of the debauchery that all the students of The Encinas school have.
The visual plan of the series concentrates on an opulent aesthetic, but it lacks meaning and does not show a reflective and romantic subtlety. The series in its last season had the opportunity to bring in what it means to love oneself and others. However, it showed the same deplorable feeling of spite. Undoubtedly, a resounding failure.
In closing, I will write as conditions permit, but in all honesty I have no desire for anything. What is happening in Venezuela is abominable, there is fear among colleagues and friends. Everything is gloomy, and it is reaching an increasingly dangerous point. It has nothing to do with the review, but it was the series I watched on Sunday to separate myself from all this turbulent and chaotic environment.
El estrés postraumático de Omar es aburrido y tampoco es interesante. A modo de ver, no posee ningún sentido. Todos se fueron del colegio Las Encinas y él se mantuvo pegado a un lugar asqueroso. ¿Lógica? Ninguna.
Los dos nuevos personajes, Héctor Krawietz (Nuno Gallego) y Emilia Krawietz (Ane Rot) intentan emular a los hermanos, Blanco. Un total fracaso.
Sin lugar a dudas, mi crítica formal siempre será hacia el consumo de drogas y la poca maduración de cada uno de los personajes. No existe ninguna reflexión por parte de ellos, lo que hace que sea una serie vacía y que no resuelve el problema del desenfreno que poseen todos los estudiantes del colegio Las Encinas
El plano visual de la serie se concentra en una estética opulenta, pero que carece de sentido y no muestra una sutileza reflexiva y romántica. La serie en su última temporada tuvo la oportunidad de aportar lo que significa amarse a sí mismo y a otros. Sin embargo, mostró el mismo sentimiento deplorable del rencor. Sin lugar a dudas, un fracaso rotundo.
Para cerrar, escribiré a medida que las condiciones me lo permitan, pero con sinceridad no tengo deseos de nada. Lo que sucede en Venezuela es abominable, hay miedo entre colegas y amigos. Todo es tétrico y está llegando a un punto cada vez más peligroso. No tiene nada que ver con la reseña, pero fue la serie que vi el domingo para separarme de todo éste entorno turbulento y caótico.
