A trip to the magic forest... ~ Forestia ~
Hello my new friends !
I would like to share with you the experience I had in the hurt of a greek forest on the first Sunday of October! A Sunday in mid-autumn that looked more like early summer. The truth is that the weather this year in Greece has completely confused us, taking us backward and forward in the calendar like a broken time machine. Of course, because of this, we haven't missed the summer yet, which has a positive effect on our mental health, because when sun is on...mood is also ON.
Berries
Wild Strawbberies
Chestnut Tree
Chestnuts
So this Sunday was for me a palette of colors that you definitely don't find in the city and among the gray high buildings .We found berries, wild strawberries, chestnuts, bulbs of cyclamen, oregano and....surprise! Delicious mushrooms (even though the weather was not rainy and there was not enough moisture). Oooh my gooood look at this orange neon colour....!!!We collected what was safe for food from the above. The colors that all these goodies left in the hand were so intense!!!
Bulbs of cyclamen
Lactarius deliciosus mushrooms
Τhis reminded me a game i used to play as a child on the computer called ''Forestia''. One of the missions was to collect colors from the enchanted forest in order to make spells. And now...20 years later I'm playing the same game again...with the main difference that the colors will become tasty dishes instead of spells.
Mushroom picking is dangerou hobby for someone who hasn't read a lot about them and don't have experience on it ,like me! However, on this excursion, my boyfriend who knows a lot about was with me, so we collected these "Lactarius deliciosus" that you will see also cooked with garlic oil and balsamic cream on an other post. The chestnuts will be roasted in the fireplaceand I'm sure they will bring back to us more memories from our childhood. The wild strawberry plant has not borne fruit yet so we decided to take it back to our apartment ,with fresh soil, in order to keep company with the ivy and aloe plants in our baconi. I hope wild strawbberie plant wasn't upset about it... As for the berries, we tasted all of them while we were in the forest for extra energy.
I hope I conveyed to you the feelings and sensations we experienced on our little adventure in the forest
Thanks for stopping by and don't forget...!

seeing what you found blew me away. I'm a mushroom lover and longed to find mushrooms directly in the forest, but sadly I didn't find anything like you.
Your photos are enough to comfort my heart, which is longing to find mushrooms in the forest with a strong wood smell.
I'm sure if you go often for walks in forests after rainy days you will find 😊
Thank you for your beautifull comment ✌️
