RE: A Christmas Feast to Remember

It sounds like a Christmas to remember indeed. A lovely family get together with extended family including your grandparents. Your experience with pounded yam seems very taxing. At least it is good that everyone enjoys the meal afterwards - except the exhausted "pounder" - pity.
Pounded yam and efo riro - sound very interesting and delicious. Is the second photo a picture of the meal? What is in efo riro?

Yeah, it's a very memorable one that I hold in high esteem to date.

Yeah, it's a pity for the pounder, however, technological innovation has now solved that problem, as we now have devices that can help one pound the yam.

Efo riro is a local soup, popular to the Yoruba people, it's made with vegetables, melon seeds and several others ingredients.

Yes the second image if more or like how efo riro looks like, and some of its ingredients are;

  • Vegetables leaves
  • bell peppers (
  • bonnet
  • Palm Oil
  • onions
  • Assorted meats (cos skin, cow leg, smoked turkey or beef)
  • Dried stockfish
  • Melon seed
  • Smokedcatfishh
  • Locust beans
  • ground Crayfish
  • Seasoning and the likes.
