Sometimes acts of kindness comes when least expected. The bike rider needs to earn a living but he wanted to be kind. It is nice that you managed to give him a small portion of the fare. However, some days being kind to a stranger is all that is needed to make someone's day fulfilling.

Yeah, the kindness came in a very unexpected manner. He burned his fuel to carry me that far and still collected nothing. That was huge.
