You knew your own value and was patient and humble enough to work for almost nothing to demonstrate it. It is wonderful to read that you were persistent and that it paid off. You were able to accomplish what you wanted and now your are rewarded for it - that is how it should be and it must be very satisfying and motivating.

Yes it is, although it wasn't an easy feet, but I'm happy I pulled through
