RE: Forgiveness; How Apologizing saved my lifelong friendship

Your story demonstrates the importance of giving friends the benefit of the doubt. If someone is a really a good friend - when something goes wrong this should be ones first thoughts. Sometimes it is just not possible to communicate on a timely basis for various a myriad of reasons. This was the case for Shola.
Jumping to conclusions based only on assumptions is never a good idea. It is wonderful that you learnt this and many more lessons. The best news is that your friendship is now robust and you could still live some of your childhood dreams together.

It really did demonstrate the importance of open communication and never to judge based on assumptions.
I regretted my actions and I felt the apology was worth it.

Thank God, I didn't lose my best friend to that naughty assumption of mine that time👏

Thank you for reading through 🤗
