As much as I have always had a stress-free Christmas with mobility, all that changed with the removal of fuel subsidy. Due to the price hike in airline tickets, I couldn't fly to my home state where my cousin would have come pick me up directly from the airport. I was used to the easy means of traveling but like they say, desperate times call for desperate measures. I sought for another means so I learned quickly through the internet how to book a bus ticket online.

How Could I Forget December 24, 2022?
And how can I hide my fears as December 24, 2024 approaches? Even as I write this post, I am reminded of the PTSD I experienced back in 2022. It was finally Christmas Eve, the world filled with joy of the season and festive cheers while radiating the deep sense of urgency and chaos. I had a very simple to plan just like every other day I wanted to travel, " Wake up early, prepare, get to the car park and in two hours at max, I'm already home chilling with my grandmother".

An hour turned to two, and we were still at the same spot. The passengers started complaining and I just looked at my mom from the back seat where I sat. She looked relaxed and wasn't even complaining like other passenger.

I was getting uncomfortable as the driver started playing dome music via us stereo,I was not feeling good,the ladies load makes me uncomfortable I could not stretch or place my legs anyhow I want,it was just stiff at a place.Me that I was heading home for Christmas,i was eager to see everyone, eager to see the surprise on their faces as I wasn't home last year Christmas and I did not inform anyone I would be coming around this time also.
