In the air — En el aire (En/Es)

It is quite interesting to see how the birds glide the thermal air currents. The photo published here shows an American Vulture, gliding in front of the arid hills of Antofagasta (Chile). This type of scavengers are quite common along all the americas.

The photo was taken with the camera of a Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra and edited in Gimp, using the ultra zoom 10x. The edition was done in Gimp. I also share a black and white version of the image.

Es muy interesante observar como las aves planean las diferentes corrientes termales de aire. En la foto que muestro se puede ver un buitre americano planeando frente a los cerros áridos de Antofagasta. Esta aves en Chile se llaman “jotes”, en México “zopilotes” y en Venezuela “zamuros”.

La foto fue tomada con la camara de un Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra usando el lente de 10x. La edición se efectuó en Gimp. También publico una versión de la imagen en blanco y negro.
