In Montevideo — En Montevideo (En/Es) | PhotoFeed Contest - Street Photography
In Uruguay there is a very popular sweet made of almonds, called in Spanish “almendras garrapiñadas”. Therefore there are many street vendors of this sweet, and moreover it is made “in situ” in a kiosk mounted on a bicycle, as it is shown in the image.
Notice the smoky chimney and the Uruguayan flag mounted on the bicycle.
The photo was taken in the winter of 2012 with the camera of an iPhone 4 and edited in Gimp.
Las almendras garrapiñadas son muy populares en Uruguay, por lo que abundan las ventas ambulantes de este dulce, muchas de ellas la elaboran en el sito, y el quiosco está montado en una bicicleta, tal como lo muestra la imagen. Noten la chimenea humeante en la bicicleta y la bandera uruguaya.

I remember that it was quite cold and windy. In Montevideo does not snow, but it rains and is very windy.
Besides almonds, peanuts are also used for this type of sweets.
