Life As A Fashion Designer

One thing in this fashion business is to know how to sew to fit your clients and another thing is to make clothes for babies. You see this particular outfit for children is a whole lot of work on its own.

Making dresses for children is not an easy work, because it comes with a lot of stress, calculation, correction, attentiveness, and more especially neat work👌. But trust me, it always comes out beautiful and outstanding whenever you sew it to perfection 😊 and to your clients desired style.

So today i made an outfit for a 10year old girl, which is a ball gown. Indeed this particular style is not easier to make because some parts will be stitched with hand , due to the thickness of the area which cannot pass through sewing machine.

I have to gum some area of the peplon stand with a thick gumstay in "tailoring terms". But the sad news there is that there's no light to iron the gum on the material 😌. I had to find another alternative because I'm waybilling the dress to lagos this evening, so sad 😢.

I finally got my charcoal iron to gum the material which is not easy to use if you aren't careful enough. So i carefully ironed it and then start to sew.

Fast-forward to the stage where I used my hand needle to sew. God🤦 it was stressful and is time consuming but I have to do the needful in other to deliver on time.

After sewing the peplon with my hand needle, i move over to the machine to fix the zipper which took some time too. Now my ball gown Is getting ready remaining to embellish it with sturds and beads and now my baby gown is everly ready for it's owner to slay on it😋😁

My Hive friends, no work is easy, all you need is perseverance, dedication, patience and hard work to get to the top. No dull moment if you want to grow in your business .
