The Power of Kindness in Action
Hello everyone, this is my first time participating in an IndianUnited contest. Check out here. Today I am going to share a story about a time when I saw kindness in real life. and it changed the way I look at the world
created with canva
It was Tuesday morning, right after school tiffin period. The playground was buzzing with kids running around. That's when I saw Mrs. Tania, our school librarian, walking towards the park bench. She's always been kind to everyone, greeting us with her warm smile every day.
I was there too, sitting on the swings. watching the clouds. I noticed a little boy, about my age, sitting alone. His name was Shuvo, a new kid who had just joined our class. He seemed a bit lost. Holding his head and sobbing a little bit.As Shuvo sat there, looking down below. Mrs. Tania noticed him. She walked over and sat next to him, her eyes full of concern. "What happened, Shuvo?" she asked gently. his voice was just a whisper when he said, "I forgot my homework and notebook at home, and now I have to show it in the next class" Shuvo was new, still making friends, and he was worried and shy to ask to any other kids. Thats why Shuvo was sitting there alone and crying But Mrs. Tania was kind. She took out her own notbook, tore out a blank page, and handed it to him. "Here, take this," she said, "and let's fix your homework together."
That simple act might not seem like much, but to Shuvo, it was everything. It showed him that even when things go wrong. there are people who will help you put them right again. It was a lesson in kindness that I—and I bet Shuvo too—will never forget.Right after Mrs. Tania helped Shuvo with his homework. His eyes lit up, and a shy smile spread across his face. He wasn't alone anymor. he had someone who cared. Other kids on the playground, who had been watching, started to gather around. One girl, who had been playing kitkit, came over with a piece of pen and offered to help Shuvo decorate his new homework page. A couple of boys who were tossing a ball stopped and walked over. asking if they could join in too. It was like a ripple effect; Mrs. Tania’s kindness was spreading, making everyone want to pitch in. Then Mrs. Tania taught me about being kind to each other. Even after we left the playground. the kindness followed us. The next day at school, I saw kids holding doors open for each other, sharing pens, and helping each other with classwork.
It showed us s all that kindness spreads like fire. When one person starts, it can inspire others to do the same for other peples.
In this blog, I wanted to show how one act of kindness from Mrs. Tania made a significant impact on Shuvo and inspired a ripple effect that touched the entire playground.
